Your subscription dates are only half the story. Keep the cancellation record, too.
UNDO puts the dates you enter, your provider instructions, cancellation confirmations and refund-request drafts in one local Windows app. You do the cancelling. UNDO gives you a place to organize the record.
This is a written walkthrough of the customer edition, not an interactive trial. The fictional example below is not a customer testimonial, verified saving or real refund claim. No sign-up is needed to read it.
A worked example: one trial, one deadline, one cancellation record
Imagine you signed up for a fictional service called Example Studio. Your account says the next charge will be $15 on October 15, and you choose to set a cancel-by date of October 12. These are sample values; use the dates and cancellation requirements supplied by your actual provider.
1. Put the details in one record
Click + Add signup. Enter the service name, price, billing cycle, signup date, cancel-by date and next charge date. Add the provider's cancellation URL, cancellation path and any instructions you have checked. Click Save signup.
Open Subscriptions to find the record later. To change a saved subscription, open Cancel steps and choose Edit subscription.
2. Check the deadline, then cancel with the provider
Open Cancel Clock to see your entered cancellation deadlines. Return to the provider's own website and complete its cancellation procedure yourself.
The clock works while UNDO is open. It is not an email alert or background notification, and UNDO cannot stop the charge or cancel the service for you. Use another reminder method as well when you need an alert while the app is closed.
3. Keep the confirmation instead of losing it in a tab
Once the provider confirms cancellation, open Proof Vault and select the signup. Enter the confirmation number, attach a supported evidence file and add notes about what the provider confirmed. Click Save timestamped proof.
The timestamp records the evidence you saved in UNDO; it does not independently verify the provider's actions. Supported files are PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, PDF and plain text, up to 5 MB each. Evidence stays in this browser profile.
4. Prepare a request when you need one
If a charge later needs review, open Refund Packet. Choose the signup and the problem, enter the amount requested, and add accurate details such as charge dates, confirmation numbers and support attempts. Click Generate refund packet, review the result, then use Download .txt.
This prepares a draft for you to review and send through the provider's appropriate support route. UNDO does not submit it, decide your entitlement or guarantee a refund. Never include an invented charge or claim.
5. Take a backup
In Settings, choose Export UNDO data. Keep that backup private and export again as your records change. Export a full backup before clearing browser data or moving to another computer. Import replaces tracker records and merges evidence by ID.
Is UNDO the right tool for you?
A good fit: you use Windows, prefer manually maintained records, and want subscription dates, provider notes, cancellation evidence and request drafts together without a recurring UNDO software charge.
Not the right fit: you need automatic bank syncing, cancellation performed for you, background or email alerts, a phone or Mac app, or guaranteed savings or refunds. This edition does not include those features.
The dashboard's marked cancelled value is the sum of listed charges you marked cancelled. It is not a verified saving, bank reconciliation or refund.
